RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant (related to thesis), Louisiana State University Aug 2009 – Dec 2012
• Improved the yield and process sustainability of a 4,500 L continuous reactor system that produces valuable algae biomass by process modification.
• Modified the existing RUGID process control system that let the continuous reactor system to run automatically.
• Utilized SAS program for statistical analysis calculations to determine the optimum algae cultivation condition that yields maximum biomass for biodiesel and biotechnology applications.
• Proposed and investigated the utilization of wastewater effluent for algae cultivation, which could reduce energy and cost of wastewater remediation.
• Performed various sampling and data analysis according to standard methods/protocols.
Teaching Assistant, Louisiana State University
Jan 2013 – June 2013
• Designed and computed with MatLab a curve fitting program for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) of water/wastewater treatment research data analysis.
• Assisted professor for the following classes: Environmental Transport Process (senior level) and Operation and Processes in Sanitary Engineering (graduate level). Included giving a presentation in class.
Intern, Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Urea Production Plant) - Indonesia Feb 2008 – Mar 2008
