I have over 10 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry designing spacecraft that have gone on deep space missions, those that provide geosynchronous communications, and the Cygnus spacecraft that will soon approach the International Space Station.
As a Lead Designer I am responsible for coordinating and facilitating agreement between Thermal, Structural, Analysis, Radio Frequency and Integration & Test Engineers along with managing a team of designers with the goal to stay on schedule and under budget. I believe that communication is key to good team management as well as regular status updates to the program/department leaders.
I have designed using composite materials, honeycomb panels, waveguide/coax, thermal components, and general payload layout design primarily using the Pro/Engineer and Wildfire computer aided design packages.
To make the next step in my career path I am currently working on obtaining my Space Systems Engineering Masters Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, due in December 2014, while giving design support to my company's Systems Engineering department.
