• Direct the research and development of future generation ship control systems

• Chair of Certification and Safety Integrated Process Teams for VA Class Ship Control Systems
o Oversee the qualification and certification of ship control software builds

unrestricted use
• Created and manage the ship control system modernization program for in-service VA Class submarines
o Developed a mitigation strategy for obsolescence of consumer-off-the-shelf
electronic components
• Safeguard the integrity of the VA Class Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Safety Program
o Responsible for the program office's implementation of the FBW safety
requirements for system and software development
• Interface with other NAVSEA program offices to facilitate future commonality with other Navy shipbuilding programs
