PROJECTS

DYNAMIC LAPAROSCOPIC KIDNEY COOLING DEVICE
SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT 2012
Worked to create the first medical solution to prevent warm ischemia during a partial nephrectomy laparoscopic kidney surgery. The
device creates a state of hypothermia in the kidney, protecting it from infection, while critically providing the surgeon with 500% more
time (from just 30 minutes to an incredible 2.5 hours) to perform the operation.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA 2006
Worked with the local community to plan, fund, and fix a flooding problem in a garden dedicated to September 11 victims. Created an

and prevent runoff water from flooding the garden.
