Senior Project
Developed a solar powered robot capable of autonomously painting a soccer/football field. Microprocessors were programmed to control the robot's velocity, distance traveled, and paint servo using assembly. MATLAB image recognition was used to prevent collisions (to adequately adhere to engineering standards) and for landmark tracking and orientation. Navigation and path correction data was then used to send real-time commands to the microprocessor.
Individual Projects
• Programmed iRobot Create to solve a grid-maze using a recursive algorithm. Written in C for the Create Command Module (ATMega168 microcontroller).
• Multifunction 24-hour clock (alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer) with VGA output created using VHDL on an Altera Cyclone II FPGA.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Technical Skills
• Experience with C, C++, VHDL, MATLAB/Simulink, Assembly and VB.NET. Software commonly used includes OrCAD Pspice, NI Multisim, LogicWorks, Altera ...
