Design, production and R&D along with conceptual engineering and quotes of
electro-mechanical operator controlled mechanisms for military and commercial
aircraft, ground vehicles and robotics.
My position was Chief Technologist with experience in operator controls for military and commercial aircraft and ground vehicles for Esterline Mason Co. I have experience in design and managing the Research or Development efforts associated with the designs and development of new products, models, or mechanisms. Product development activities include interpretation/implementation of both customer and in-house specifications. Responsibilities include:
• Provide technical input to the engineering team with close interaction to the Advanced Product Development group.
• Participate in technical meetings and design reviews in Product Development and Advanced Product Development.
• Design and development of prototypes including the concepts, hardware (mechanical and electronic) and software, either individually or overseeing the R&D project team.
• Selection of technology and component types in advanced designs.
• Provide mentoring to the members of the engineering teams.
• R&D budgets and projects.
• Discussed and consults with sales staff and/or customers on requirements and specifications.
• Industry trends and developments.
• Investigates and resolves technical problems.
