PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

General Dynamics C4 Systems, Scottsdale, AZ

Software Engineer II
June, 2009 - Present
• Responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining software for the AN/PRC-155 two channel networking radio, capable of supporting advanced and current-force military waveforms.
• Started on a small team, responsible for an end-user graphical application used to load radio software and mission data, as well as the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) remote interface.
• From 2009-2012, played a key role in expanding the team’s area of expertise to include all of the platform (non-waveform) radio software. Parts of this software were previously sub-contracted to other companies, allowing for more efficient development and lower cost by having this knowledge internally.
• Hand-picked by upper management in June 2012 for assistance in porting the MUOS waveform onto the Manpack, to meet an aggressive milestone award deadline one month away. Successfully bridged a knowledge gap between the MUOS waveform development team and the MUOS Manpack porting team, to allow the milestone award deadline to be met.
• As a result of this success, asked to continue work on the MUOS porting team and help maintain the software as it transitioned into production.
• Recognized as a top engineer, receiving an engineering technology award for technical innovation and excellence on the HMS manpack software development, as well as three separate formal “Eagle” awards for positive impact at the bronze (team)...
