Capstone Project:
Automation of Magnetic Sensor Calibration: Sponsored by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport RI. The goal was to automate the process of calibrating a solid state sensor used in submarines' towed arrays. This was a two semester project involving a multi-disciplinary team. My responsibilities include:
• Programmed in C, C++, and Visual Basic with an emphasis on socket programming.
• Researched micro-controllers, and developing a program that is capable of taking in several .XLE files and using them to control a stepper motor.
ELE 438: Network and Internet Security
• Designed and implemented a version of the DES encryption package (JAVA)
ELE 437: Computer Communications
• A chat program using a bluetooth protocol between two Gumstix boards
ELE 408: Computer Organization
• A program that measures the degradation of Zigbee signal strength in order to determine the distance between two wireless devices
ELE 401: Digital Computer Design
• Designed and implemented a CPU capable of processing simple programs using proprietary ISA including a program that played battleship between two FPGA's via RS-232
