PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Traffic Engineer
Field Data Services of AZ, Inc. Aug 2012 to Apr 2013

Responsibilities and accomplishment:
• Installed and removed road tubes and counters in different installment types ( i.e. short-long, single, median, and speed/class) to measure volume, speed and vehicle classification, regarding roads direction, type, and lanes number for average daily traffic (ADT) studies.
• Installed and removed cameras at intersections to record the traffic.
• Performed live traffic counts at busy intersections using Jamar counter board for turn movement count (TMC) studies, and live count for parking duration study.
• Worked independently under minimum supervision of professional traffic engineer to download the data from different counters and cameras.
• Used software such as PetraPro, TraxPro, TrafficviewerPro to format the data and prepare the excel forms for ADT, TMC, and other studies.

Senior Structural Engineer

Project: Yaftabad Commercial Centre, Tehran/Iran
Included 9-story & 7-story L-Shaped steel framed Bldg. structures with two-way reinforced concrete slab were built on the area of 786,000 sq. ft. and 840 units in high seismic zone. The structural system is dual EBF and MRF in both directions.

Responsibilities and accomplishment:
• Performed analysis & design of major structures, conducted analysis & design for foundation systems, proactively reviewed and approved structural design drawings.
• Worked independently to coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of the project to facilitate on-time production and delivery of assigned goals.
• Participated in reviews with various parties for code compliance, ensure projects are completed to specified timeframes and budgets, and ensure engineering service delivered meticulously and commensurate with standards and client requirements.
• Prepared the most accurate structural engineering service two months before projected plans, performed quality control documentation, reports and creative technical ideas based on contract, project objectives and client needs.
• After I immigrated to U.S in Oct. 2011, consistently received architectural, structural and related layout by email and I performed analysis, design and structural drafting of high-rise and mid-rise concrete and steel frame buildings.

Associate Structural Engineer

Project: Zaferanieh Residential Building, Tehran/Iran
The entire 14 story reinforced concrete building structure with composite floor system is built on the area of 134,500 sq. ft. and 66 units in high seismic zone. The structural system is dual shear wall and MRF in both directions.

Responsibilities and accomplishment:
• Reviewed independently high rise structural system & modification plans for compliance with established codes, practices and standards, reviewed the final architectural layout and finalized framing layout.
• Researched deeply about new lightweight building materials used in walls and floors, gravity support & lateral force resisting system, constructability concerns, and cost estimate; resulted to save 10% on time-implementation and 5% on budget.
• Simultaneously performed seismic analysis and design of structure & foundation using CSI software and prepared structural drawings using CAD.
• Performed efficiently field observations and reconnaissance, including structural evaluations, visual observation, plan reviews and existing report reviews to comply with required standards and guidelines.
