· Worked as Mine Engineer and Environmental Manager to ensure active Longwall Mine was operating and in compliance. Managed Degas systems and ensured EMS/ISO 14001 requirements were met.

· Completed footage/production reports and ensured surveyors kept up with mining development

· Managed Degas systems including planning, construction, and maintaining systems to ensure gas levels in mine were safe

· Worked as Sr. Engineer directly under Director of Closed Mines. Managed engineering and environmental issues for over 40 permits and 400 NPDES outlets. Managed all environmental and engineering issues for these facilities including implementing new Environmental Management System (EMS-Consent Order). Also worked on Patriot Selenium Team including planning, designing, and implementing treatment systems.

· Latest Duties include project management on the permitting, design, bidding, and Construction of Reclamation projects and Water treatment systems. From initial permitting and bidding out to contractors (Yardage Calculations) and then Managing Project Construction and Completion.

· Directly Responsible for Management of all Vertical Turbines/Pumping systems in Deep mines to ensure safe mine pool water levels. Engineered and constructed new Dewatering holes/pumps. Managed Pump Co., Cranes, drillers, site setup and construction of new Pumping sites.

· Worked daily to meet DEP and Co. environmental regulations, policies, and procedures including proper safety training and EMS (Consent order) training to all contractors.

· Managed all contractors including water sampling labs, electrical work, pump work, construction contractors, Permitting contractors

· Worked on special projects to save money for the company- such as Consolidating Pumping through the Study of Multiple Deep Mine Pools to ensure safe water levels and to reduce costs. Water treatment systems, reducing water treatment costs by thinking outside the box and using chemicals and Engineering principles. (Velocity profile, Settling velocity, Curtain design,etc.)

· Managed the Release of permits/bonds through scheduling reclamation processes and overseeing construction, sampling, permitting to ensure proper and timely Bond Release of permits.

Dealt with all surface issues for over 80 permits and 20 mine facilities, and 4 prep plants. Helped manage all environmental and engineering issues for these facilities. My boss has over 35 years of mining experience.

· Latest Duties included project management on the construction, design, and planning for new deep mine faceups (Roundbottom Powellton and Randolph Mines) and Prep Plant (Inman) Construction. From initial permitting and bidding to blasting permits to design of sediment control and bench layout as well as Beltlines and haulroads.
