AWT Technical Sales Intern
▪ Developed flow studies for a series of heat exchangers for Marathon Oil Refinery and Ashland Specialty Ingredients (ASI) with the purpose of discovering future fouling or present fouling issues.
▪ Created a baseline for future chemical and cooling tower performance study with the gathering of cooling towers’ wet bulb temperature data.
▪ Constructed a master inventory regarding the heat exchangers of Ashland’s new account in Texas City; Galveston Bay Refinery.
▪ Conducted water quality testing on industrial water samples as of service for Ashland’s present clients in the Houston, TX area.
American Water Works Association Conference 2012 November 27, 2012
▪ Represented UCF’s Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering Department in poster competition with Summer Undergraduate Research project; Reduction of Total Trihalomethane Precursors from Central Florida Surface Water.
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship 2012 May 2012- April 2013
▪ Conducted an undergraduate research project on Disinfection By-Products (DBP).
- Laboratory water quality procedures took place along with Jar Testing and Liquid/Liquid Extraction for Total Trihalomethane analysis as these were presented to the fellowship in technical scope.
UCF OPS Hourly January 2012 –May 2013
▪ Developed laboratory procedures along side with graduate students in order to produce much necessary data for graduate student’s research projects in the drinking water treatment field.
▪ The practice of various water quality laboratory tests took place along with testing for TTHM using Liquid/Liquid Extraction.
▪ Visits to different Drinking Water Treatment Plants were constantly done for system observations
and collection of samples for further data analysis for different graduate projects.
▪ Properly applying EPA regulations through the disposing of chemicals and hazardous materials.
