ACHIEVEMENTS

REVIEWED and ANALYZED awards and engraving company purchased to improve processes to maximize output with fewer employees. Close compact placement of equipment to allow one employee to move less from work station to operate more than one process at a time.
Result: Lowest and most productive awards and engraving business in the area.

SETUP and DEVLOPED a production control system for my employer developing fitness related products. Identified critical procedures and strategic points in the production process to mitigate non-compliant products. Determined product specifications, trained inspectors, developed procedures for production.
Results: Reduced startup scrap rates from 20% down to under 5%.

RESEARCHED and DEVELOPED a 5-inch grinding ball for my employer. Identified need for secondary source of supply for this critical tool; determined product specifications; developed grade of steel required and plan of action for manufacturing process; communicated with outside vendors, production specialists, and management throughout the process; conducted and evaluated trial production run; reviewed and refined process for improvement; produced quality product.
Results: This product produced approximately $2M in sales the first year.

ANALYZED product performance through testing at customer locations. Persuaded customers to participate in testing process; organized testing schedule with customers; communicated test schedule to sales, production and management; created special R&D products to test against standard products; performed tests, evaluated and reported results.
Results: Increased customer confidence with an approximate increase in sales of 10-12%.

IMPROVED quality control process for a startup company. DEVELOPED and wrote quality control manual for this new company; recruited and trained new personnel for quality control department; created communication channels to effectively enable communication process; managed new department through direct supervision of up to 13 people; evaluated and reviewed newly developed quality control procedures; analyzed returned goods for causes and defects; implemented corrective procedures and communicated results. Setup complete production equipment and processes for awards and engraving. Designed new process to double lasering of Batons for RAGNAR racing awards. Created new acrylic awards for racing. Solved the problem of embedding coins and badges in acrylic. Responsible for Sales and entire manufacturing processes. Developed tracking system for production to reveal ontime production and work load by equipment type.
Results: Lowered costs of production to allow for higher margins and shorter turnaround time.

The Rubber Stamp Factory (UT) 1998 – 2011

Owner Operator
Responsible for Sales and entire manufacturing processes including developing new products and processes with equipment that exceeded what the manufacturer had intended. Developed, produced and maximized for sale to customers local and nationally.
Results: I am the only producer of roller dater stamps used by the US Marine Fisheries and custom engraving of signs used by the Air Force in Afghanistan for supply crates.
