I have been a certified trainer for the last 5 years and am responsible for training new employees. While unable to pursue a promotion and become a “Team Lead,” since Team Leads are required to work full time mostly on weekday mornings, I do hold great responsible as a Team Member. During my shifts, I am typically the “go-to” person, the leaders come to me for advice in creating the evening schedule and they also direct all team members to me for a nightly course of action. I have been able to balance my extracurricular activities and maintain an off-campus job throughout the entirety of my time at the University of Missouri.
Main Duties:
ü Drive sales by providing customer service to the guests in the store
ü Set plan-o-grams to comply with the “brand” of the store by creating and printing labels, pulling the
product from the stock room, and filling the shelves with the new product in order to drive sales
ü Put out new product on racks by brand and style, with a focus on optimizing the flow of the clothing
departments
ü Organize “go back” product from guest returns into carts and on a wheeled-rack based on the layout
and flow of the store, thus improving ease and efficiency of returning the product to the sales floor
ü Set “adjacencies” in the clothing departments according to a design from corporate, this consists of putting out new product in a designated location and solving problems when the necessary racks or
products are not available
ü Complete an evening zone by straightening up assigned department
ü Work with others in a very team-oriented environment
