Description: I worked with a team involved in Explicit Dynamic and Fluid Structure Interaction (Dytran). My specific projects were simulations of bird crashes on airplane turbans and bicycle accidents. Activities within the projects included computations of mechanisms of failure. I also created an instruction manual for how to use the simulation program.

Description: I was involved in the design and development of nano and micro scale materials and in shaping memory alloys using Equal Channel Angle Pressing (ECAP). I created a more precise ECAP model for finite analysis of titanium alloys and manufactured fatigue and creep testing machines. I also studied the relationship between creep and fatigue behavior of the microstructure in Nitinol, a shape memory alloy and analyzed the structure of Nitinol and nano titanium with TEM. The purpose of the studies done with nitinol was for use in the human body.
