PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Knorr Brake Company, Westminster, MD - (Oct. 2011 – Present) Project/Systems Engineer
•Performed system and project engineering tasks to support both legacy and design phase Electro-Hydraulic Friction Brake Systems applied to Light Rail and Metro Vehicles, including multiple Siemens S70 Projects and the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).
•Project Engineer for the BART Friction Brake System from proposal phase through multiple, ongoing design reviews.
•Coordinated, planned and executed system design, documentation and implementation with multiple functional groups, including Software, Products, RAMS, Verification and Validation, Quality and Program Management.
•erformed many project management tasks to ensure proper project execution.
•Interfaced with customers daily to discuss project management and technical issues.
•Generated technical proposal documentation, requirements traceability matrices, functional descriptions, design calculations, test procedures, and reports.
•Performed testing, troubleshooting and commissioning activities both in house and in the field.
Booz Allen Hamilton, Secret Clearance, Belcamp, MD - (Dec. 2010 – Oct. 2011) Systems Engineer
•Performed system engineering tasks to contribute to the architecture and design of an enterprise level information system based on the Ozone Widget Framework.
•Gained exposure to various information system architectures, methods and development models, e.g., SOA, AGILE, REST, SOAP and MVC.
•Researched the fields of biometric and forensic identity resolution and exploitation.
General Dynamics Robotic Systems, Secret Clearance, Westminster, MD - (Sept. 2006 – Dec. 2010) Senior Engineer
•Integration and Test Engineer
o Performed hardware and software integration of the Autonomous Navigation System (ANS) onto a variety of full size, ground vehicles. These activities demanded an overarching understanding of the entire autonomy system, sensors, platforms, user interfaces and requirements.
o Designed, planned and implemented unit/system level tests for ANS with a focus on requirements conformance, performance metrics and reliability.
o Analyzed and decomposed test results/data to produce detail error documentation. These error reports were tracked using ClearQuest and/or Bugzilla. I personally worked with many hardware/software developers to assist in performing root-cause analyses, re-test proposed fixes and communicate requirement issues to management.
o Developed software tools for data analysis, data collection and system control. Tools included MATLAB scripts, MATLAB GUI’s and C# GUI’s.
o Supported the Robotic Convoy Experiment (RCX) task order through three testing phases. Wrote the RCX Phase 2C test plan and procedures, RCX Phase 2C Test Director, managed the Human Data Collection activity during RCX Phase 2B and performed data analysis after all testing phases.
o Supported the Robotic Vehicle Control Architecture (RVCA) task order through six testing phases. Acted as the main, on-site Integration Engineer for ANS, ensuring our system achieved the goals of the RVCA test plans. Installed ANS onto two robotic platforms provided by the National Robotics Engineering Center.
o Designed and implemented a human-wearable RTK GPS ground truth system for use in a variety of Autonomous Vehicle and Algorithm tests. The system was based around the SX microcontroller and focused on minimizing the required logistical support, providing real time data, high reliability and easy user operation.
•Systems Analysis Engineer
o Performed system analysis activities as part of trade studies and experiments f...
