Applied Materials is the leader in the development and manufacturing of Semiconductor Processing Equipment. As the Manufacturing Manager of the transition team I directed the transfer of the manufacturing facility for three (3) of the divisions from Santa Clara, CA to Austin, TX. The activity took two (2) years. Once this activity was completed the directors at Applied Materials provided an opportunity for me to lead the start of the new Rapid Thermal Division – the actual manufacturing facility was located in Horsham, England.
• Led the transition of Manufacturing for the purpose of cost reduction and included the implementation of Demand Flow Technology (DFT)
