Prepares technical drawings and plans, which are used by design, estimating, production and construction workers in building a projects.
Provides visual guidelines showing how to construct a product or structure through detailing, and maintenance of construction, shop drawings, red-line drawings, and as-built drawings. Drawings include technical details and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures using drafting details and notes. Drafters fill in technical details using drawings, rough sketches, specifications and calculations made by engineers, manufacturers, surveyors, architects, and other resources.
Uses Automated Computer Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD) and Revit Mechanical Electrical Piping (MEP) software systems to prepare drawings. Uses Navisworks Manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to produce detailed three dimensional models of any and all trades or the purposes of conflict detection and resolution by design and construction engineers prior to construction, and for the use by project managers and superintendents to visualize and plan work.
(Electrical) - Prepare wiring and layout diagrams used by workers who plan, erect, install, and repair electrical equipment and wiring in communication centers, power plants, interior and exterior electrical distribution systems, and associated systems.
(Mechanical) - Prepares drawings showing the detail and method of assembly of a wide variety of mechanical and plumbing machinery, devices, fixtures, and sensors; indicating dimensions, mounting, fastening, and seismicing methods, seismicing, and other requirements, both below and above finished grade or finished floor.
Provide plastic/metal engraving/scribing and laser-label making services as required using the EGX-30 and Laser Label printer.
