Responsibilities:
• Product Design Engineer for many ongoing R&D projects simultaneously
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of the design or application
• Specify system component or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Investigate product reliability with FMEA criteria
• Use 3D modeling software to develop and improve product components

Key Accomplishments:
• Designed new frame that decreased footprint by 33% and increased shipping capability by 25% resulting in significant transportation cost savings.
• Redesigned linkage to double current travel capabilities of slide frame
• Increased mechanical advantage of lifting mechanism resulting in smaller lift motors and longer working life
• Developed entire drawing packages with SolidWorks software for new frame and component parts.

• Product Engineer over multiple electro-mechanical product lines ranging up to 5000 units per month.
• Developed and maintained Technical Drawing Packages and Process Instructions for multiple product lines from the initial concept to full production.
• Continuously improved designs for more robust and consistent manufacturing.
• Lead lean manufacturing events that resulted in a decreased lead time of completed product, while reducing overall manufacturing costs.
