I studied the influence of DNA sequence on DNA condensation by histones on a genome wide level using a newly developed bioinformatics model. Furthermore, I supervised two Ph.D. students investigating the force and torque dependency of single chromatin molecules using atomic force microscopy and magnetic tweezers in the Physics of Life Sciences group lead by prof. Thomas Schmidt.
