Project Engineer
Supported remediation at both U.S. Military and commercial client sites. Also supported technical and cost proposal efforts for several remediation and construction projects involving operations and maintenance (O&M) of remediation systems, munitions and explosives of concern (MEC), landfills, and environmental compliance. Representative projects included:
AFCEE, Building 1435 Demolition, Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), CO, 1/2011–9/2011, $1.2M, FFP. Project Engineer. Provided oversight of daily reporting and submittals to submittal register. Conducted weekly site safety inspections and quality control reporting. Set up filing system for project. Trained Site Superintendant in administrative duties and reporting.
Black Rock, Inc., San Pedro, CA, 12/2010–04/2013, $88K FFP. Project Engineer. Continual extraction of light nonaqueous-phase liquid (LNAPL) and groundwater extraction of various wells. Provided onsite field monitoring of bi-weekly recovery of LNAPL for various groundwater monitoring wells.
Georgia Pacific, Montebello, CA, 12/2010–02/2013, $750K T&M. Project Engineer. Continual monitoring and remediation of chlorinated solvents (TCE and PCE). Provide onsite field management and oversight of quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting for various monitoring wells. Installation and sample collection of subslab monitoring wells for soil gas.
USACE, Lead Dust Removal at Building 11-C, Ogden Business Depot, Ogden, UT, 11/2011–5/2012, $825K FFP. Project Engineer. Lead dust removal at Building 11-C that consisted of 7-40,000 sq ft bays. The cleaning consisted of Hepa vacuuming and wet wash of certain bays or areas, if necessary. Attended site walk, and helped develop proposal and Work Plan.
