(feed spec to WTP) and 4 design guides (calculation development procedures) for slurry pipe transport. Trained other engineers on how to perform specialized calculations in fluidics. Nuclear waste mixing: As the PJM Systems Engineer (SE) wrote the Pulse Jet Mixer System Description and a number of engineering studies, analysis, whitepapers, engineering reports, calculations and test specifications. Was the Technical Test Director for M3 for Phase II testing, wrote Gap Analysis, test specifications/ plans and test run sheets. Wrote supporting calculations for most of the test runs defining scaled performance objectives and test predictions. Evaluated data after testing and conducted research in Annex which lead to developments. Was awarded the “BNI 2012 Innovation in Engineering Award” for achievements.

Mixer Pump Development: Hanford site 200E tank farms. Lead 3 year development project for a new Safety Class #2 nuclear grade mixer pump (350 hp) called the Advanced Design Mixer Pump Project (ADMP). Author of the ADMP pump specifications (Revision 1 and 2) and project plan (Primavera) used to award contracts to two outside vendors. Pump achieved 2000 hrs of successful run time in testing.
Hydrogen Mitigation Probe: Cognizant engineer for project including R&D and procurement of outside engineering services and the development and use of a complex equipment specification and plans (Primavera). Inventor of concept (Sonic Probe) which enhances mixer pump effectiveness in tanks with thick sludge by temperately converting the material to Newtonian properties. $3M spent on scaled models and testing. Device was mounted on SY-101 pump and was successfully deployed in tank mitigating hydrogen hazard.
Cooled Protective Suit: Developed Self-Contained-Breathing suit that used cryogenic fluid (liquid air) to supply breathable air and cooling for a worker required to use a protective suit in hot weather (U.S. Patent). Invention used as basis for Mars space program suit proposal to NASA.
