Developed the first structural design requirements for joints in flexible and rigid culverts to withstand variations in construction, support, and loading conditions.
My work featured field-scale testing in the laboratory, 3D finite element analyses using ABAQUS, and development of design equations for the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
