BA Hons Business Studies dissertation topic:
The topic of my BA Hons Business Studies dissertation was Straight Through Processing (STP) in the areas of investment services and investment management. This study details how processes are currently being conducted in the industry generally and presents potential STP solutions to the problems/bottlenecks/risks within these processes.
MSc Computing dissertation topic:
The topic of the MSc Computing dissertation was the use of Visual Basic, Java and XML (within the Apache SOAP framework) to facilitate language-independent communication between disparate financial systems in order to make Straight Through Processing (STP) possible.
Certification(s): MCAD (.Net 1.1), Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP - Java 5).
