• Overall management & oversight of all departments of the Biggest Loser Resort program
• Provide leadership in developing new and innovative programs
• Develop safe & effective fitness programs for guests
• Purchase equipment & supplies
• Assure the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and makes consistent & timely progress
• Maintain official records & documents, & ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
• Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments & trends in the field
• See that the board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization & all important factors influencing it
• Establish sound working relationships & cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations
• Ensure that job descriptions are developed, performance evaluations are held, & that sound human resource practices are in place
• Responsible for recruitment, employment & release of all personnel
• See that an effective management team, with appropriate succession, is in place
• Encourage staff development, education & assist program staff in the process
• Maintain a climate which attracts, keeps & motivates a diverse staff of top quality individuals
• Work with the Finance Committee, & the board, in preparing a budget; we operate within budget guidelines
• Ensure that adequate finds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work
• Strong presence with guests throughout their stay
