a comprehensive process controls revamp project for a major domestic oil refinery in Texas City, Texas.
• Compiled sour water output data from unit operations within a Texas City oil refinery for a comprehensive study
and evaluation of disposal/remediation options and developed final proposal with revised P&IDs and process
summary.
• Performed front end design tasks for a Bitumen upgrader project in Fort Hills, Canada primarily for the diluent
recovery unit including: preliminary pump sizing calculations and hydraulic modeling using AFT Fathom™ and
AFT Arrow™, preparation of PFD's and Equipment/Piping Material Selection Diagrams, Equipment Data Lists
and Battery Limit Data Tables , development of heat integration schemes for preheating of dilbit to diluent
recovery column and developed preliminary product line rundown schemes.
• Developed piping hydraulic systems models for process hydrocarbon streams and utilities including air, nitrogen,
firewater, cooling water, natural gas and steam/condensate systems for OSBL interconnecting piping within major
domestic refinery expansion in Port Arthur, Texas during FED-3 and detailed design phase, and developed OSBL
P&IDs, piping line lists and coordinated development of battery limit tables between ISBL units. Hydraulics
performed using AFT Fathom™ and AFT Arrow™ software. Prepared pump data sheets for pumps within OSBL
scope and coordinated development of water cooling tower equipment arrangement with equipment vendor.
