While working as the only undergraduate in the Locomotor Recovery Laboratory over the past two years at the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital in the country, I’ve contributed to projects leading to a poster presentation at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Association in 2014 as well as being a co-author on a recently accepted publication in the Neurorehabilitation & Neural Repair – the highest of 62 rehabilitation journals in terms of impact factor. Importantly, this work has had a direct impact in our laboratory acquiring a multi-million dollar grant to progress with further research projects and studies of which I still continue to be involved with.

Assist Physical Therapists during training sessions associated with studies of locomotor recovery after stroke and spinal cord injury respectively

Calibrate and operate equipment necessary for testings associated with various lab studies
o GaitMat, Cosmed K4B2 portable gas analysis system, Modus Health accelerometers
Post-process tracking data collected during force treadmill testings with Cortex Motion Analysis software
