ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Projects:
Design of a High Powered Rocket Altitude Targeting System (Senior Design Project): Drafted, constructed and successfully launched a two-stage rocket using composite materials and additive manufacturing. Built with the objective to send a 10 pound payload to 10,000 feet. The project was sponsored by AIAA and Solid Concepts and won the UA College of Engineering Design Day 2014.
Finite Element Analysis: Successfully modeled a fully parameterized airplane wing using ANSYS ADPL. The model included a wing box, skin and commercial airline airfoil to study the natural frequencies, mode shapes, deformed shape and stress distribution of the wing.
Engineering Component Design: Effectively devised, researched and developed a wood chipper while complying with required specifications which balanced stress analysis, design, strength, materi...
