Bridge Engineer – Construction Support, June 2008 – June 2014
Projects:
• San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge East Span Replacement – Oakland, CA – The design of this signature bridge includes a 530-foot-high, single-pylon, self-anchored suspension span and a twin streamline box 1.6-mile concrete segmental Skyway.
Tasks:
• Worked at temporary field office on-site that was intended to assemble the Designer (TY Lin), the Contractor, and the Client (Caltrans) for construction engineering support.
• Interfaced with Contractor and the Client, to discuss issues related to construction and design of the bridge.
• Lead coordinator and preparer of RFI responses, and CCO packages including plan sheets and letters.
• Lead MEP Coordinator – Worked with MEP design firm to determine necessary structural adjustments.
• Lead Traveler Coordinator – Communicated with Maintenance Traveler Sub Consultant. Conducted Traveler testing and perform various design tasks.
• Member of Team Bikepath – Performed various calculations and field visits to solve seismic and fit-up issues of problems related to the bikepath.
• Member of Team Concrete – Field visits to solve rebar placement issues in the cap beams.
• Managed drafting team, and primary Engineer responsible for coordinating with drafters.
• Performed field visits to inspect and solve various construction problems on site.

Bridge EIT, Transportation Division, March 2005 – February 2008
Projects:
• SR 6219, Somerset, PA – Preliminary TS&L design and report of two structures; dual three-span continuous, plate girder bridges, 714’ long and dual five-span, prestressed PA bulb-tee girder bridges, 525’ long.
• SR 2004, Wayne County, PA – Preliminary TS&L design and report of two-span, continuous, composite rolled steel beam bridge, 180’ long.
• SR 4020, Wayne County, PA – Emergency Design/Build Final Design of a simple-span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge with one integral and one fixed abutment.
• Pemberton Bridge Rehabilitation, Tyrone, PA – Team member of inspection and analysis of two-span, 460’ long riveted deck girder bridge for the purpose of rehabilitation. Assisted in design and preparation of an inspection, an alternatives, TS&L, and Final Design reports.
• Allegheny County Bridge Inspections, PA – Organized inspection teams and team member of NBIS inspection and prepared inspection reports of 120 local bridges under 20’ long in Allegheny County.
• Mon Fayette Expressway, Allegheny County, PA - Performed preliminary design calculations and analysis of 1200’ structures, dual 143’ structures, and dual 975’ structures.
• S.R. 4013, Northern Altoona Access, Blair County, PA - Preliminary TS&L design and report of 3 structures located on approximately 4.5 miles of S.R. 4013 for PA DOT District 9-0.
