WORK EXPERIENCE
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics/UT Arlington | Composite Research | Fort Worth, TX
Research and Development Intern [Jun. 2010 – Sept. 2010]
Worked with ten other interns to research the design and complexity of the honeycomb structure on composite materials being implemented on today’s aeronautical vehicles.
Conducted modeling, simulation, and structural analysis of a honeycomb structure located on the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II using Solidworks program, CAD techniques, and Abaqus FEA software.
Developed a spreadsheet on Excel that compared various strengths and weaknesses on numerous materials, such as glass-reinforced plastics and aluminum alloys, to be incorporate in the honeycomb structure under certain environmental conditions.
Assisted in conceptualizing new honeycomb structure model through sketching and figure creation, developing engineering design, and computer-aided simulations while assimilating different composite-orientated materials.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics/Tarrant County College | Intern Training | Fort Worth, TX
Student-Trainee [May 2010 – Jun. 2010]
Introduced to and became versed in various programs pre-dominant in engineering such as Solidworks and MATLAB.
Strengthened, via various training courses, my core work ethics such as punctuality and time management with a focus on prioritizing many tasks at hand, and the essence and importance of teamwork as well as completed numerous OSHA Training Courses.
