PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2010 - Present, Tiburon Associates-Corpus Christi,TX
Program Manager
Duties include leading management of contract in excess of $100 million for support of multiple military aircraft platforms at large aviation depot. Under my management, the customer contracted for an additional $33 million worth of scope. This program involved development of an entirely new helicopter transmission test facility (the largest in the United States). The equipment designed for the effort was the most advanced worldwide in which I actively managed R&D of subcontractor. This was such a success that even helicopter OEMs are seeking duplicate systems for their own use. The effort also included buildings and major utilities with integration into a distribution and warehouse facility for avionic components (including creation of software management systems to implement RFID capability). I am the main POC with the government in this program and remain in that role due to my successful performance despite challenging circumstances. This is achieved through effective management of my staff and demonstrating a maximization of resources that yield high quality at minimal costs. Trust has been maintained with the customer through maintaining schedule and budget over years. The role encompasses coordination with multiple OEMs, building relationships with subcontractors, and assessment of proposals/SOWs. The position is very "hands on" with onsite interaction to assess deliverable progress. Responsibilities involve assessing and mitigating any risks during the project. This entails delegation of activities as needed to increase the efficiency of all resources available.
2007 - 2010 EATON Aerospace-Broomfield,CO
Project Management/Senior Design Engineer
Due to limited resources, responsibilities included multiple roles in project management activities and Senior mechanical engineer design. Duties include design of fluid conveyance products for both aircraft and spacecraft. I have led as project manager for the development of such critical components as airlock fittings for the International Space Station. I have taken on such daunting technical challenges as lightning isolation fuel system components for the composite aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner. I led a cost savings initiative in 2008 that provided in excess of $100,000 savings to Eaton. Responsibilities include writing invention disclosures and working with IP lawyers to process patents successfully with the USPTO. Customer and vendor support to ensure all projects remain on schedule and budget.
2006 - 2007 MTC Technologies-Fort Walton Beach,FL
Project Management/Mechanical Engineer
Managed draftsmen and designers in projects for components of prototype Joint Strike Fighter avionics. This entailed direct contact with the customer and taking lead for PDR and CDR preparation and presentation. Duties include designing new avionic equipment with EMI protection for Air Force aircraft. Using Finite Element Analysis programs during the design process, all of these designs passed their military standard qualifications on the first test.
