DESIGN OF AUTOMOTIVE CHASSIS AND BODY SYSTEMS:
Formulated design consideration for chassis of an electric vehicle, conducting proper research to acquire all information about new technologies in the industry with respect to chassis design.
Three different vehicle structures comprising of Tesla model S, BMW i3 and Nissan leaf were studied, the profitable features of each of these designs were then examined to generate a compromising design architecture.
FEM IN AUTO STRUCTURE DESIGN:
Completed Beam bending and frequency analysis, thoroughly researching the beam structures to understand all the elements required to solve the physical problems involving Finite Element Analysis.
Assayed a steel beam which previously failed due to resonance and subjected material analysis, with aluminum in place of steel having 3 different design models to meet the bending stiffness values of the steel.
