SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Process Engineering & Project Management — Selected by American Greetings Corporation to perform an engineering internship assignment over the summer of 2015. During my time at American Greetings, my projects involved process engineering, project management, and design engineering. I served as project manager for installation and modification of equipment, performed OEE analyses to identify problems with production and areas of efficiency improvement, and dug deeper into design assignments to identify the root cause of a problem and alternate solutions. Received ratings of “Excellent” in areas of attendance, communication, dependability, enthusiasm, ability to learn new things, and overall quality of work.
Process Engineering — During my co-op assignment with Malibu Boats, I pursued process engineering projects, learned about the boat manufacturing process, and worked on ways to improve production efficiency. Some of my projects included performing extensive bill of materials analysis and verification, validation testing for various mechanical options on new boat models, and product control analysis.
Leadership & Team Management — My best example of leadership skills is displayed in my participation with the Tennessee Running Club. I founded the club in the spring of 2013 as a competitive, club-level running team to provide runners of all levels at UT with an opportunity to run as part of a team. Since its inception, I have served as president and managed club officers, leading TRC to become one of the largest and most active sport clubs at the university. The club now travels and competes at both the regional and national level.
