PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
PROGRAM MANAGER – INFRA Technology – August 2014 to present, Houston, TX\Moscow RU – Recruited as employee #1 of INFRA’s US Scale-up Engineering initiative to construct a 100bpd Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) project in the Houston Area.
• Tasked to take INFRA’s proprietary catalyst development and alternate Fischer Tropsch architecture, developed over 6 years, from lab and pilot scale to commercial demonstration in this $30 million project.
• Evaluated current project, developed plans and relationships with various counterparties including mid-tier specialized boutique process engineering, detailed engineering, fabrication, and catalyst companies to reduce time to commissioning while mitigating core technical risks.
• Understood the vison of the major shareholders, early in the process terminated an existing engineering relationship that was not going to yield the desired results.
• Led the project turnaround Activity; hired an Engineering Manager, Process & Mechanical Engineers. Focused on a value engineering endeavor which yielded:
Lower skid count
Less heat exchangers
Lower electricity load
Reduced water requirements by 400%
Much less internal utility requirements
Reduced estimated capex
• Brought engineering, procurement and fabrication management in-house with a unique contract strategy to control costs, quality, and project timeline. Reduced projected capex by 50%.

PROGRAM MANAGER – Scorpion Energy, Houston, TX – 2008 to June 2014.
Startup Energy company. Developed Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) projects, analyzed and assessed alternative site, feedstock, offtake, logistics, and technologies to capitalize on the maximum spread between the price of natural gas and refined products.
• Evaluated various Fischer Tropsch and alternate GTL technology solutions using syngas derived from natural gas, biomass and coal. Developed relationships for technology transfer and supply with top tier international oil and gas, engineering, process engineering, and catalyst companies.
• Marketed projects for funding with lenders and investors, and coordinated due diligence activities. Created project presentations, summaries, business plans, extensive financial modeling and private placement memorandums.
• Identified project risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
• Led financing, engineering, technological, permitting and site selection initiatives. Projects ranged in size from $75-500 million.
• Developed coal and petroleum coke gasification projects, gasifiers, catalysts, reforming technologies, and reactor designs. Explored use of CO2 for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Evaluated various syngas opportunities, new and used plants and equipment for asset development strategies (primarily methanol, mixed alcohol, hydrogen and ammonia plants for modification or relocation).
• Used Stage Gate (Waterfall) project management process extensively. Developed RFP’s, relied heavily on Front End Development.
• Directly recruited and managed high-level peer groups consisting of industry specialists, consultants, SMEs, and created international relationships with engineering firms and technology vendors.
