Objective
I have been an independent contractor since 2001. My objective is to obtain contract employment for the commissioning and startup phases of an FPSO, offshore production platform, or other oil & natural gas production facility. The scope of my work would include the commissioning and startup of Allen-Bradley Logix series PLC based control systems.
Experience
Recent projects:
• Programming and startup of the first Nigerian owned natural gas plant in Nigeria
• Several systems on the ConocoPhillips/CNOOC FPSO “Peng Bo” in China
• Compressor station upgrades for XTO Energy (now a subsidiary of ExxonMobil)
Each project originated from someone with whom I had worked on a previous startup.
I was contacted about these projects because the original control system supplier was unable to complete their work in a satisfactory manner.
While working in China, the success of the systems in my original scope of responsibility resulted in ConocoPhillips asking me to correct two additional systems: a seawater filter package from US Filter/Siemens and a crude oil strainer package.
I have more than 25 years of instrumentation and process control experience. This includes design, construction, programming, commissioning, startup, and maintenance.
My international projects include work in Bolivia, Canada, China (offshore), Equatorial Guinea (offshore), Mexico (offshore), Nigeria (2 gas plants), Norway, and Singapore.
