Dear Hiring Manager,
I invite you to please consider me for a career opportunity within your company. As a recent graduate from Arizona State University, I believe my BSE in aerospace engineering (aeronautics) will allow me to perform any of the required job duties both efficiently and ethically. I am a frequent air traveler who relies on many corporations to keep air travel safe by supplying reliable aerospace products and solutions across the United States. I would be more than honored to uphold this standard as an aerospace engineer.
As an undergraduate, I have balanced a rigorous course load and a number of activities that have allowed me to enhance my skills relevant to this role. For the past two years, I have made extensive use of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 14 Part 25, which outlines the airworthiness standards for transport category aircraft. I am also very familiar with the regulations in Part 23 for normal, utility, acrobatic, and commuter category airplanes. For my senior year capstone project our team was to develop a transport category aircraft that satisfied all FAA regulations and met the given minimum design requirements. I took on the task of ensuring all aspects of the aircraft were up to code, including an in depth analysis on the airworthiness standards for aircraft engines, Part 33 of Title 14. This amount of time has allowed me to become well versed with the regulations that are vital to the testing and validation of airframe parts, engines, and more to ensure airworthiness. In addition to my course load, I have greatly improved my teamwork and communication skills during my time as an undergraduate through various student clubs and work experiences. I worked as a student grader and teaching assistant during my senior year for a professor in the material science and engineering department. My duties required me to help students with homework questions and hold review sessions to ensure they were as successful as possible in the course. This position greatly improved my ability to speak to large groups of people and convey difficult engineering concepts in a clear and concise manner. I have also spent time with the Sun Devil Satellite Laboratory, a student led organization dedicated to the design of CubeSats and spacecraft technology. Under the guidance of aerospace doctorates, our organization was exposed to the computer-aided design of the cube satellite as well as the subsequent thermal, structural, attitude control, and propulsion analyses. Throughout all of my experiences, I have used my dedication and creative problem solving skills to further my engineering knowledge, which I am eager to bring to Belcan Corporation.
I am very interested in interviewing for a career opportunity and look forward to learning more about the requirements. Attached, please find my resume for your consideration; it contains a more in-depth review of my other experiences and competencies that I would be glad to discuss. Thank you very much for your time and consideration for th...
