Respected inquirer,
On behalf of myself, I feel confident taking on a position at a respectable faction where there is the incentive to express one’s professional opinion. I am able to offer a comprehensive training history supplemented with significant experiences in the project engineering and developing fields through my planning, management, resilience, analyst, field, service, design, and research practice.
The training I’ve successfully completed over my academic and ongoing career has proved to be enlightening towards my personal growth. A vigorous 180-credit engineering curriculum transformed and fully developed my individual and team working preparation. As supplement, completing a post-graduate degree as a DOE/NOAA leveraged fellow was a significant addition to an engineering background. The fulfillment of these and future professional exercises will help my understanding better grasp and implement economic, environmental and social/political considerations into projects throughout my career.
The duties I have been tasked with in project planning and management with the US ARMY Corps of Engineers have shaped the outlook of my desired career dramatically. The various projects I have been involved in to date have driven my project development and organizational skill to an intermediate level in a limited amount of time. Fulfilling the federal agency’s regulations and specifications has broadened my knowledge of large scale projects and their requirements. In addition to project oriented duties, my understanding, and drive to complete tasks to fine detail has allowed me to assess projects and present them accordingly through efficient communication skills.
My desired career path consists of an innovative environment where my entrepreneurial aspirations can thrive. My impending contributions includes skills in the following: economic analyses, project planning/management, contract negotiations, remote sensing technologies, statistics, design, drafting, geospatial considerations, construction and product cycle assessments. All in all, this congregation of past and future experiences has greatly influenced my interests; ranging from engineering, design and development of projects.
Future plans include various professional certifications and developing my career through the involvement in contributions to systems infrastructure. Personal and professional interests include: civil engineering, field work, sustainability concepts, architectural/product design, and trend projection. I have attached this cover letter, my resume and professional qualifications for further review and would welcome the opportunity to personally demonstrate my competence.
