Foundry Worker
- Manufactured sand castings and casting cores , using both no-bake sand, and greensand material
o Assisted in operating a Tinker Omega 250 sand mixer, such as deciding which “recipe” to use for the sand mold being made depending on the size, shape, and hardening time
- Analyzed, tested, and finished moldings in machine shop
o Self-Initiated and executed checks on the moldings to make sure there were little to no impurities or physical contamination
o Drilled, ground, and polished the checked molds to rid them of imperfections and ready them for shipping
- Developed intuition and experience in manufacturing and process engineering
