Amsted Rail is a $2.0-billion manufacturer of highly engineered rail car components, and a division of Amsted Industries, a $3.5-billion diversified manufacturer operating 45 facilities in 11 countries and employing more than 10,000 people.
DIRECTOR, GLOBAL ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING (2014 – PRESENT)
* Invented and commercialized revolutionary technology (No. US 8,533,957) for the manufacture of bearing seal cases, resulting in reductions of: 75% in labor, 90% in tooling costs, and 65% in material. Provided new market opportunities with the immediate potential to grow the business line 400%.
* Initiated and executed a multi-year strategic operating plan to achieve a “global best” cost structure through lean six sigma initiatives. Total domestic program savings to-date is $14-million annually.
