Led a team of 16 chemical engineering undergraduates to develop a model car powered with a custom designed battery and controlled by a bleach and food dye reaction.Won awards for Creative Design, Best Poster Presentation and Placed 3rd in the regional competition.

Conducted research in Energy Storage, Fuel Cells, Gas Sensors using Nanoporous Carbons and primarily electrochemical analysis techniques. Published four articles on these projects, being the lead author in two cases.
Developed proof of concept: nanoporous carbons as ammonia gas sensors. Led team of 3 researchers in developing method to produce thin film on alumina microchips and experimental protocol for gas sensing, data collection and analysis. Extended design to include composites with graphene and Metal Organic Frameworks.
Designed experiment to analyze the effect of photo-electrochemical processes on the effectiveness of nanoporous carbons as fuel cell electrode
Prepared supercapacitor electrodes; collected and presented data on the electrochemical performance of nanoporous carbons/graphene based supercapacitors.
