San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) – Sewer System Improvement Program (SSIP), Urban Watershed Assessment
A watershed-based 20-year, multi-billion dollar sewer system improvement plan, to culminate in basin wide (Bayside and Westside Basin’s) alternative recommendations. Project responsibilities include:
• Produce feasibility and engineering calculations of Low Impact Development (LID) technologies
• Manage and analyze geospatial data
• Verify project alternatives with triple bottom line economic analysis software
• Develop document figures and maps for the following :
o July 2014 Bayside Drainage Basin Urban Watershed Opportunities
o Bayside Drainage Basin Urban Watershed Alternatives (IN PROGRESS)
o August 2014 Westside Drainage Basin Urban Watershed Characterization

University of Colorado at Boulder – MURI soil blast loading
This high-priority government project was funded by the Office of Naval Research to mitigate the blast loading damage of buried IED’s on convoy vehicles. Findings from soil preparation, characterization of conventional geotechnical parameters, and triaxial testing were reported to the esteemed Dr. Richard Regueiro. Findings were used as a baseline to develop a computational model of soil failure under explosive loading. Research is still in progress.
