WORK EXPERIENCE
Thomson Industries, Inc. Feb. 2012 to Current
Field Sales Engineer (2014-Current)
Responsible for distribution sales in six Mid-West states. Conduct product training, new product launches, and sales review with distribution partners.
Work directly with large OEM accounts (agriculture, marine, automotive, mobile off-highway, medical, etc.)
Prepare pricing proposals and product documents for presentation to customers and for internal reference.
Provide technical field support and solutions related to mechanical components and industrial automation.
Communicate customer needs with product line management, factories, and vendors.
Applications Engineer (2012-2014)
Provide technical and design support for linear motion systems and components based on customer application requirements and constraints.
Acting internal product specialist for the Ball Screw product line. Liaison between manufacturing, product management, and field sales in support of ball screw products. Responsible for internal documents, quoting, and product training.
Conduct analysis and troubleshooting related to product failures in the field.
Work directly with customers to provide cross over to competitor products and suggest design improvements.
Use engineering principals related to Statics, Dynamics, & Statistics to support design solutions for a variety of systems (single axis, multi-axis, etc.)
Assist in developing standard procedures and policies to support lean methods in the office environment and performance measurement metrics.
