PROJECT ENGINEER (February 1992 – April 2013)
Collaborated on numerous projects designing new alignment geometry, roadway widenings, sound barrier walls, culvert replacements, bridge replacements, parking layouts and site enhancements . Responsible for the creation and management of preliminary through final design construction drawings conforming to the latest PennDOTand local municipal standards including, but not limited to: Roadway Construction, Contour Grading & Drainage, Erosion & Sediment Pollution Control (E&SPC), Post Construction Stormwater Management, Right-of-Way, Pavement Marking and Signing, Curb Ramp, Traffic Signal, Detour, Sound Barrier Wall Structure, Utility Relocation and Cross Sections. Developed technical reports including Stormwater Management, Hydrologic & Hydraulic, Incident Response Manual and NPDES permit applications. Calculated quantities, cost estimates and earthwork volumes. Helped produce Environmental Impact Statements and public hearing displays. Designed curb ramp improvements conforming to the latest ADA standards. Created engineering maps, graphics, displays and brochures. Integrated CAD designs with aerial photography. •South Henderson Road Widening, Valley Forge Bike/Pedestrian Trail & Church Road Bridge Replacement Projects. Developed preliminary through final design construction plans, right-of-way plans, drainage design, sanitary sewer design, E&SPC plans, NPDES permit application, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
•I-76/South Henderson Road Interchange Project. This was a 2009 Economic Stimulus project with a greatly accelerated schedule. Developed preliminary through final design construction plans, right-of-way plans, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Assisted with drainage design, E&SPC plans, drainage report and NPDES permit application. Drafted design revisions during construction. Created all maps and graphics for the technical reports and Incident Response Manual . Project received Engineering and Design award from Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association (GVFTMA).
•Valley Forge River Crossing Complex. Prepared proposed design alternative plans, profiles, cross sections and presentation graphics for major interchange and bridge improvements to US 422 from First Avenue to S. Trooper Road.
•PA Route 23 in Upper Merion, PA. Prepared proposed design plans, profiles, cross sections and presentation graphics for the Project Need and Preliminary Alternatives Analysis reports.
•Upper Merion Aerial Image Mosaic. Digitally enhanced and spliced together 33 aerial images to create a 250 scale-12’ x 8’ full township map including street names, route markers and creek labels. The mosaic was mounted and displayed in the Upper Merion Township building.
•Avenue of the Arts North & Federal Reserve Streetscape projects in Philadelphia, PA. Created existing and proposed condition renderings for multiple streetscape alternatives using AutoCAD and Photoshop.
