EXPERIENCE
2013 – present. Ansaldo Honolulu JV. Senior Civil/ Installation Engineer. Currently working as AHJV’s Senior Civil/ Installation Engineer tasked with designing and interfacing compatibility between all civil, architectural, and structural infrastructure associated with the rail transit project and AHJV's train vehicles, control systems, and O&M of the train infrastructure. The interface management portion of this work includes facilitating meetings between the client known as the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART), AHJV, and the Fixed Facility Contractors (FFCs) associated with the design and construction of the guideway and the stations. Interfacing FFCs include many Fortune 500 companies such as Kiewit, HNTB, AECOM, URS, HDR, Anil Verma Associates, and Perkins+Will, in addition to their many subcontractors. Work also includes the direct oversight and management of AHJV's subcontractor, Watts Constructors, LLC, as a lead civil engineer in designing and constructing a 3,000+ sq. ft. database building.
2012 – 2013. Parsons Corporation. Engineer I. Worked as an energy auditor/ energy manager/ data base manager on five different Air Force bases throughout Japan, S. Korea, and Alaska.
2009 – 2012. Parsons Corporation. Associate Engineer.
Worked on a military training construction project (HS MOUT) and on Air Force CERCLA sites in the field (e.g., vapor intrusion sampling at an Air Force Base valve pit site). From fall 2010 to spring 2011, worked as an energy auditor collecting and analyzing data for roughly two million sq. ft. of buildings located at the Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan. Previously, worked as a project engineer and safety committee chair with closing-out a $60 million (USD) construction project (Honouliuli WWTP) located on the Island of Oahu. Completed a solar feasibility study for a military training facility on the Island of Oahu. He also obtained NPDES permits for the same types of facilities. Worked with a team on a mitigation monitoring report for the Guam build-up project (NAVFAC/ Marines from Okinawa, Japan to Guam). Also obtained an impressive amount of field and office remediation work experience pertaining to the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) located at the U.S. Air Force bases on Oahu, Hawaii and Guam.
