PROJECTS:
Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (Stickney, IL) Power System Study - Responsible for coordinating walk down of the medium voltage and 480 volt system of the industrial buildings at the facility. Data collection included transformer sizes, overcurrent protection model information and settings, cable sizes and lengths, and verification of one line diagrams. Information for the 1000+ bus system was modeled in SKM Power Tools. Short circuit, coordination, device evaluation, and arc flash studies were performed.
Illinois Tollway Fox River Bridge (Elgin, IL) Lighting and ITS Design – Responsible for providing bridge lighting layouts for six temporary traffic sequences and for the final roadway design. Design included conduit and cable sizing for lighting and conduit sizing for ITS distribution.
Confidential Client (Norfolk Virginia) Energy Audits (Retro-Commissioning)– Responsible for coordinating site visits and building walk downs for 20+ buildings. Existing light fixture data and foot-candle ratings was collected during walk down. This information was analyzed and used to establish energy conservation measures. Calculations were performed to determine the existing wattage consumption and foot-candle levels of the proposed light fixtures.
Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) Central Boiler Plant Improvement – Responsible for low voltage distribution design. Design included normal and emergency lighting, starter sizing, bus duct sizing, distribution to boiler components, motor control center sizing, and electrical distribution panel sizing.
USACE Middle East District Electrical Inspection, Kuwait - Responsible for overseeing 10 electricians performing electrical inspections of low voltage equipment. Provided daily reports to the client. Created safety reports for dangerous electrical conditions.
