OBJECTIVE: To apply my electronic and computer skills to optimize the organization I am working with. Currently on Social Security Disability due to traffic accident 3/2008. I feel I have since recovered enough to do engineering work, and currently wasting a lot of skills, knowledge, experience and wage earning power…I would rather work than be on Social Security.
EXPERIENCE:
8/2005 – 04/2008 Xytronics LLC. Took a step down to Test Technician mostly because electronic engineering jobs were scarce in San Antonio. I worked up to Tech level 3. I saw good/bad/expensive/economical products and what was current technology. I voluntarily gave advice to customers on how to improve their products from an engineering/product development/manufacture-ability point of view.
10/1993 – 03/2005 PhotoTelesis San Antonio Texas Sr. ELECTRONICS ENGINEER
Design, test, modify, document equipment used to video compress and transmit via many types of military radios, and such for image transmission. Heavy use of gate array technology. Sh3, x86 micro-processors. My designs employed on all U.S. Navy F-14’s, and some F/A 18. Modified units fielded in United Kingdom F-16s. Hand held units also fielded to U.S. Army aviation, and Special Ops organizations. Part of this multi-million dollar contract was miss-handled by the marketing department and was not renewed. I was caught up in the resulting in 25% reduction of force.
12/1987 – 09/1993 Texas Medical Instruments ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER
On design team that developed and delivered RadioMetric Imaging system (infrared) to White Sands Missile Range. Design, schematic capture, board layout manufacture-ability, debug, documentation, test procedures, programmable logic. Analog/digital/fiber optics. Company was hit with 5 base closures we had contracts with and eventually folded.
