Senior Technical Intern
• Managed the implementation of Toronto Hydro’s first smart grid initiative through daily stakeholder engagement whereby project requirements were communicated; enabled effective project scheduling, cost estimating, key milestone achievements, and improved confidence from management
• Analyzed over 200 customer outage events by cross-examining power line monitor data with Toronto Hydro’s incident reporting log; revealed frequent unreported momentary system outages which strengthened the case for power line monitor technology as a system reliability solution
• Interacted with project engineer to identify and map worst performing feeders using historical feeder data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS); selected worst performing feeders for power line monitor installations which maximized benefit from a limited supply of devices.
• Established working relationship with IT through discussing project challenges and their role in solution development, and managing stakeholder expectations for IT in order to encourage future collaboration
