• Developed new products, incorporating graphene based inks, with emphasis on electronic systems
• Coordinated design, supplier, and manufacturing services as part of a collaborative team creating a wearable, commercially available, battery pack for charging personal electronics
• Utilized computer aided design (CAD) software in conjunction with 3D printed rapid prototyping to create custom injection molded parts for the above battery pack
• Invented methods for fabrication of printed RFID antennas with patents currently pending
• Led technical development of a wearable touchpad integrated into the wrist of a dress shirt
Graduate Research Assistant, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant MI, May 2011 – December 2012
• Designed and fabricated humidity sensors based on novel dielectric materials such as paper and collagen
• Published and presented papers at the Advances in Applied Physics and Materials Science conference in Antalya, Turkey and the 2012 Materials Research Society Spring Meeting in San Francisco, CA
• Led and trained undergraduate researchers to use lab equipment to perform experiments I designed
