2.1 Materials R&D Project Engineer 2013 – 2015 Oerlikon Metco, Westbury NY
Multifunctional role as Cladding Process Engineer, Project Manager, and Materials R&D Engineer.
Continual Process Improvement: Increased material throughput by 15% and first time pass rate by 5%. Created and improved SOPs/WIs , transferred products to new processing technology, implemented 5S , developed and integrated preventative maintenance into SOPs, modified process based on six sigma methods.
R&D Engineering: Developed new product via stage-gate process, drafted and modified material and process specifications, led team projects for raw material price reduction and increased supply chain robustness.
General: Created and maintained SAP recipes and BOMs, conducted safety audits, reworked non-conforming material, and provided engineering input for capital expenditure projects.
