Drill Powered Vehicle Jan. 2015 – Apr. 2015
•Placed within the top percentile in manufacturing design category by incorporating a Go Kart steering assembly with an existing bike frame
•Reduced initial material costs and doubled component yield strength by using carbon steel instead of Aluminum 6061
•Saved time on design phase by modeling an accurate CAD model of existing parts, then developed the remaining components required for assembly
Combustion-Turbine Cogeneration System Feb. 2015 – Apr. 2015
•Persisted in weekly design revisions with course instructor in order to receive feedback and to enhance understanding of thermodynamics
•Researched and assessed the viability of new plant design with projected data of electricity and natural gas costs until the year 2040
•Performed cost analysis of heat exchangers throughout the system while considering factors such as material length, surface area, and pressure in shell-tube heat exchangers
Touchpad Surround Sound Speakers Jan. 2013 – Apr. 2013
•Innovated speaker design by incorporating touch pad controls and LEDs to introduce kinesthetic and visual effects
•Manufactured and assembled system well under the planned budget of $200, coming in at a total $120
