PROJECTS • Designed and built a cycle test fixture for the IDEAL Precision Tool.
• Performed Military Standardized testing (MIL-STD XXXXX) requirements, which includes but is not limited to: Flammability, Thermal Shock, Chemical, Corrosion Resistant, High Compression Forces, and Heat Aging.
• Helped develop, oversee, and train operators on the process for assembling and packaging Lace-LOK.
• Designed a clamp mechanism and pedestal fixture for experimental testing to determine the coefficients of friction at high velocities and forces.
• Designed an automated system for testing the torque on gearbox assemblies used in railcar gates, while ensuring simplicity and efficiency.
• Constructed an airplane wing for NIU’s Aerospace Design team by attaching airfoils, configuring the elevator with the horizontal stabilizer, and applying monokote as a protective cover.
